When making a change, is it better to focus on behavior or outcome goals? Firstly, it is important to know the difference. When pursuing behavioral goals, you have control over certain decisions. This control influences the outcome and dictates results. Versus outcome goals that are more difficult to have control over.
Who is feeling a little snowed in and lacking inspiration on the food front?? I CAN NOT believe the snow that has hit the ground in Calgary. Its days like today that makes we want to just curl up with tea and cozy in and forget about the gym and prepping good food...
Before you step on to the scale and let that number guide your next few emotions, actions and weeks, let's chat a bit more about WHY you shouldn't even step on the scale in the first place.
Did you know that your fitness gains start to diminish after only 7 days?!?
This is a question I get often from my clients. In terms of how nutrition relates to fitness, there really isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. The simplistic answer would be a proper ratio of protein and carbs, personalized to your specific needs
Is it good? Is it bad?
It is the world's second most popular beverage - after tea - so there must be something good about it?
Now that it is getting cold out I am into soups! I like them for a couple of reasons. One, you can put everything into a pot and just let it cook away (like this recipe). Secondly, you can add whatever you like to complete the meal - more veggies, starchy carbs or a protein option. Let me know what you think!
Make these for breakfest or a snack! Add more eggs or sweet potatoes depending on your carbs and protien needs! Enjoy!!
It is completely ONLINE....but I would be with you one/one. I find this the best of both worlds. I am here as your coach along the way. I provide individual feedback each week without the time or price of having to go see a coach in person

It is really cold outside. Most of the time I prefer a fun crunchy salad - but this weather has be craving something warm and made with love. Check out these 3 simple recipes to get your food prep in for the week. They are all chicken to keep it simple - but I am sure you could use ground turkey for the last one. Enjoy!
Ok - this year I am doing something new. I am taking on 10 clients that are SERIOUS about making a change. Using the best coaching skills and tools we are going to work together for 10 weeks to make significant change in fitness and health.
Its going to be the new year soon - less than 3 weeks!
So have you thought about your "New Year Resolutions" or goals for next year? For some reason January is a time where we are influenced into making some sort of a goal that we GENERALLY stop sometimes before February (studies say at least).
Hey! Your are going travelling and you are super excited. But wait - you have been working out hard, keeping consistent and you are worried that this trip is going to derail you.
