Information from http://www.statisticbrain.com/new-years-resolution-statistics/

This website goes on to say that 8% of people actually achieve their resolution goals.

That being said, I think everyone should save themselves the disappointment and never have weight loss as your goal.

With my clients, I try to change their prospective from weight loss to measurable health and wellness goals.

For example:

If you want to relieve stress - Attend going to yoga once a week or reading 20 min/day.

If you want to get stronger – Commit to lifting weights 3 times a week, with a structured progressive program.

If you want more daily energy – Pack your lunch in the morning each day. oh yeah... my new years resolutionsWeight gain and loss is something that can be difficult to control for reasons that are beyond our control.   By focusing on goals that are measurable, attainable and completely in your control, they are more likely to be achieved.

If you would like assistance with goal planning and accountability – please contact me.  I can help you create a fun plan and a process to achieve your 2014 goals!! And in the process will probably teach you how to squat properly  - unsure if you are doing it right? Ill be posting next week on the SQUAT!
