Andrea has an outstanding work ethic - all with a smile on her face. I am sure others in the class can agree that she is one of the most friendliest people in the world, pushing herself and encouraging others. I feel privileged that I have gotten to know her over the last couple of years. You are amazing Andrea!!
What motivates you to make fitness and nutrition a priority?
Fitness and nutrition are a priority in my life, because I have noticed myself when I am not engaged and it's not good; my energy is low, my self-esteem is lack-lustre, and I feel gloomy. Knowing that simple changes in my life like a 20mins workout or having a salad vs fries goes a long way, when you live a busy on-the-go lifestyle.
Where do you workout?
I workout everywhere! I am a big believer in variety, as I get bored with the same thing day in and day out. I workout at home, at the Sweaster's Sweats In The City gym, pilates studios, yoga studios, spin studio, at the local gym, and even the park. Every workout should be a different workout even if you go to the same gym or studio every week with routine.
What is your favourite workout?
My favourite workout is one where I come out feeling exhausted - truly exhausted to the point that I know that I left everything on the court! Exhaustion to me is a clear tell-tale sign, that I have worked as hard as I possibly could, and that by doing so, my body will benefit from it. (Don't get me wrong, I will likely complain during the workout...but no pain no gain!)
What is your favourite healthy snack?
My favourite healthy snack is greek yogurt & berries. I literally eat this every day, and never ever get sick of it; you can change up the berry type, or add a bit of granola or nuts if you're feeling adventurous :)
What are you most excited about for 2016?
What I am most excited for in 2016? Lots of stuff. But I think that at the end of the day, I will be most excited for new experiences. I am moving, travelling, and getting married, and I think all of these things will bring great new adventures to my life.
